As a gold medalist in both Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) in Nursing,  she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence in nursing education and practice. In her capacity as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Quality Leader for Nursing, she assayed a pivotal role in shaping and implementing nursing standards, improving patient care, and driving quality initiatives across healthcare settings.

With extensive experience and a passion for advancing nursing practice, she continues to inspire and lead teams towards achieving high standards of care, ensuring patient safety, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the nursing profession. Currently, serving the NHS, Merlyn has also enrolled for the prestigious Chief Nurse Program with NHS UK to further enhance her leadership capabilities and strategic impact in healthcare.
